Delhi enthralls visitors with its dynamic mix of historical landmarks, bustling markets, and contemporary urban life.
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival, you will be received at the airport/ Railway station in New Delhi and transferred to the hotel, checkinhotel . After Refreshment visit India Gate, Parliament House President”s Residence and shopping at Connaught Place and Palika Bazaar as its highlight .Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: 6th Delhi sightseeing
Today morning after breakfast you proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of the city. You will visit the Red Fort, see ChandniChowk Bazaar and KhariBaoli spice market on your way to visit Jama Masjid. One of the largest mosques in the world and the largest in India, it was built by Shah Jahan to dominate the city. Visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial built to commemorate the site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation. Later proceed for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed QutubMinar, India’s tallest minaret, made of red sandstone and marble and inscribed with verses from the Qur’an. Stop next at Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage site and tomb of a Mughal emperor dating back to the 1500s. Next, pass under the high stone archway of India Gate – constructed in the memory of Indian soldiers who died in World War I – and drive along Rajpath (King’s Way), the ceremonial boulevard heading toward RashtrapatiBhavan, official home to the President of India. If time permitting you can visit Lotus Temple (closed on Mondays). Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra (210 kms /4 ½ hrs)
After breakfast you will check-out from hotel at around 07:00 hours and drive to Agra. you will visit the FatehpurSikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Also you see Sikandra to visit Tomb of the Mughal emperor, Akbar, an important Mughal architectural masterpiece. It was built in 1605–1613. Later in the evening you can have some free time to do local shopping around the city.
Akbarabad, as Agra was known during the Mughal era, is home to some of the most magnificent Mughal architectures. Situated on the banks of river Yamuna, the monumental beauty of Agra has inspired countless people around the world. This third largest city of the state of Uttar Pradesh is home to three UNESCO world heritage sites Overnight in hotel.
Day4: Agra to Delhi (210 kms /4 1/2 hours) – Departure
Today early morning at sunrise you will visit the world – famous TajMahal – ‘the 7 wonders of World’ built by Shah Jehan to immortalize the memory of his beloved wife MumtazMahal who died tragically in 1631. The TajMahal looks exceptionally beautiful at the rosy glow of the dawn. Retrun to hotel for breakfast. Later visit the Agra Fort built by three generations of Mughal Emperors between 1565 and 1573. It housed both the presidential Palaces of the Royal family, and the military quarters. Also see the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, called the ‘Baby Taj’. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628 has walls made of white marble from Rajasthan, encrusted with semi-precious stone decorations.
Later in the afternoon you will drive to Delhi. On arrival Delhi proceed to your place of accommodation. Later in the night you will be transferred to airport for connecting your onward flight /train.
